Who is SocialBu for?
Tier 1 can suit a simple publishing routine; Tier 2 is the starting point for API/MCP, inbox, listening and automated workflows. An agency should count Teams as carefully as accounts. The highest tier still has an X-link cap, so buying more capacity is not a universal fix.
Suitable for
A small publishing team that benefits from client separation, review permissions and repeatable campaigns.
Consider another option if
High-volume X-link publishing that exceeds the confirmed allowance, or a buyer depending on advanced reporting without verifying its lifetime entitlement.

What comes with the lifetime deal?
One lifetime license for the stated custom AppSumo plan. Licenses do not stack; the regular Starter, Growth and Agency subscriptions have different entitlements.
Activate within 60 days. The listing advertises a 60-day refund window. Confirm the exact deadline in your purchase account.
Upgrades depend on the deal remaining available; downgrades have the stated 60-day window. Do not assume a future upgrade will still be on sale.
Tiers 4 and 5 require AppSumo Plus. A membership purchase, if needed, is separate from the displayed software price.
Future updates follow the custom AppSumo plan and stated equivalent-plan mapping. This is not a promise that every future product, paid add-on or third-party charge is included.
The vendor says to cancel an existing paid subscription before redeeming. Confirm cancellation and migration with support so the lifetime purchase does not leave an unintended recurring bill.

Costs and limits to account for
- X-link posts have a separate shared monthly cap; extra-link add-ons are not available to the AppSumo license alone.
- Tier 1 excludes API/MCP, inbox, listening and automation workflows.
- Credits, posts and execution limits are separate budgets; higher tiers do not remove every bottleneck.
FEATURE COMPARISON
Features, limits and paid extras
“Included” and “unlimited” can mean different things. This checklist separates full access, usage limits, add-ons and features that are not confirmed.
4 fully included · 8 limited · 0 add-on · 0 not included · 1 not confirmed. Coverage is not a quality score.
Features are grouped by documented coverage. “Not confirmed” means the evidence is incomplete, not that a feature is absent.
Check each product’s plan notes for tier limits and additional costs. Feature coverage is not a quality rating.
USE CASES
What problems does SocialBu solve?
Give clients a review step before content goes live
A freelancer needs help preparing posts but must keep publication under client or manager control.
How to use it
- Create the client Team and connect the appropriate social accounts.
- Assign drafting and approval permissions; keep automation-management permission with the person responsible for it.
- Submit content for approval, check its media and destination, then approve it before the intended publishing time.
What this helps you do: The documented permission model separates preparation, approval and automation management. A compatible assistant can work within those permissions.
Limitations: A late approval can publish immediately after the scheduled time. Team membership and permission behavior should be checked with a representative campaign.
Turn a content library into a repeatable publishing routine
A small business has useful older content but spends time rebuilding the same schedule every month.
How to use it
- Select posts that are still accurate and suitable for reuse.
- Organize them into queues and recurring schedules, with platform-specific text and media.
- Review upcoming dates and the final destination posts; remove expired promotions and repetitive material.
What this helps you do: Queues and recurring content can reduce repeated scheduling work. A buyer reports using SocialBu for an evergreen campaign.
Limitations: A recurring schedule still consumes published-post capacity. Repeated content must comply with each network’s rules; a buyer report is not proof of delivery reliability.
Find relevant conversations without spending every credit on noise
A marketer wants useful brand or topic mentions, while a broad listening query can consume the AI allowance on irrelevant items.
How to use it
- Create a narrow listening query with the sources available to the account.
- Review the initial matches before enabling optional AI filtering or sentiment processing.
- Track both retained items and AI usage. Open the original conversation to respond where appropriate.
What this helps you do: Listening can collect potential conversations, with optional AI to help filter them. The workflow separates discovery from the decision to engage.
Limitations: An AI-rejected item still uses a credit even when it does not count toward the retained-item quota. Listen replies happen on the original platform; this is not an automatic outreach promise.
BUYER FEEDBACK
What buyers say
Buyer experiences can vary with the plan, product version and workflow.
Useful API access, with reporting detail to check
An October 29 buyer likes the handling and API but wants more useful channel and post detail. The founder points to current account/network views and says metrics vary by network. Bring a sample client report to a trial instead of assuming the graphs cover it.
Assistant connectivity can still leave manual image work
An October 26 buyer reports manually transferring images created in ChatGPT. The founder says attachment works when the assistant can transfer the file or supply a downloadable URL; file-access restrictions can interrupt the flow. Connectivity alone does not guarantee a complete content-to-calendar workflow.
X-link capacity can decide the purchase
An October 22 Tier 2 buyer reports the X-link allowance was too low and extra-link options were unavailable. The founder confirms that the add-on currently requires an active paid subscription, so an AppSumo-only buyer cannot assume it is a purchasable escape from the cap.
An evergreen use case is encouraging, not a reliability test
An October 19 buyer describes a recurring campaign and a straightforward interface. This supports a useful workflow to investigate. It does not establish successful delivery over the full scheduled period.
Connection speed and account safety need an actual trial
An October 9 buyer reports long waits while connecting accounts and alleges Reddit account bans. The founder says the slow flows are being investigated. The cause of the bans remains unclear; the report does not establish that SocialBu caused them.
Historical Tier 4 complaints have a newer clarification
One Reddit post disputes an older Tier 4 account allowance. It may overlap a marketplace complaint and is not independent consensus. The October 30 founder answer says affected Tier 4 owners should contact support for the current allowance without purchasing another license; an older refusal should not be presented as the current policy.

Compare the cash cost of named plans over your chosen period.
Add recurring extras
Different plans, different capabilities. This is a cost scenario, not a promise of equal features or future savings. SocialBu: 10 accounts, check source for users. Buffer: 1 paid channel. Annual plans are charged for full years. Prices stay constant; taxes, usage overages, external services and migration work are excluded unless added above. A lifetime licence lasts under the vendor’s terms, not a guarantee that the business will operate forever.
Buffer’s Free plan includes API access and may be sufficient for a small workflow. The paid-channel scenario does not assume free channels can be combined with paid ones.

BEFORE YOU BUY
SocialBu lifetime deal FAQs
Are SocialBu credits the number of posts I can publish?
No. Published posts, X posts containing links, AI credits and automation executions are separate allowances. Writing a post yourself does not use AI generation, but publishing it still counts against the post limit. Do not convert the AI credit total into a promised number of finished captions; the current per-generation rate was not established.
Do AI credits roll over, and what happens when they run out?
The AppSumo plan guide says unused AI credits do not roll over. The founder says Listen can continue collecting without AI filtering or sentiment when credits run out. Collection has its own monthly item cap, so it is not unlimited merely because AI processing has stopped.
Is the X-link allowance per account?
No. The founder confirms one shared monthly allowance across connected X accounts. Tier 5 currently lists 50 X-link posts per month, so spreading those links across several accounts does not multiply the allowance.
Can I buy extra X-link posts on the lifetime plan?
Do not assume so. The October 30 founder response says the extra-link add-on requires an active paid subscription in SocialBu’s subscription billing system. Its availability on that system is not an entitlement of an AppSumo-only license. Obtain a written, priced solution before buying for a workload that exceeds the cap.
Can MCP create and edit my automation rules?
The founder says the current MCP automation tools can inspect workflows and logs and enable or disable existing workflows. They do not create or edit trigger conditions and actions. Plan to configure those rules in the product interface; assistant access is not proof that every screen action has an equivalent tool.
Can I use one Team for each client?
Yes, that is the documented organization model, but compare the Team allowance and members per Team separately. Usage is pooled under the owner. Several client Teams do not each receive a fresh full AI or publishing allowance.
Is there a free option before buying?
SocialBu advertises a Free plan with three connected accounts, ten lifetime posts and 60 AI credits. Ten lifetime posts is a small inspection allowance, not ten posts every month. If the native social apps already meet your scheduling needs, continuing with them is also a valid no-purchase option.
What should I verify during the refund window?
Check your account types, a small cross-network campaign, client approval roles, a clickable X link, an assistant image handoff and the reporting view you need. Observe final published results as well as scheduled entries.

Separate AI credits from posts, listening items and runs
A useful budget has separate columns. Published-post capacity answers how much can go out. X-link capacity adds a smaller restriction for link-bearing X posts. AI credits fund optional processing, and automation executions count workflow activity. None is a substitute for another.
For Listen, the founder specifies one credit per item processed by its AI features, including rejected items. Applying filtering and sentiment to the same item together still costs one credit. A rejection can therefore reduce visible matches without reducing AI spend.
Consider 900 AI-processed items, including 100 rejected by the filter: the AI cost is 900 credits, even though only 800 remain. Reserve another 300 credits for other AI actions and the planned total is 1,200. Compare it with Tier 2’s 1,200 monthly credits; do not assume the reserved amount produces a particular number of captions.
