Match the product to the required use case. Start with the needed channel and action, then check staff, traffic and outside costs.
For a small website FAQ assistant

ChatInCart
Tier 1 starts at $45 once and offers 1,000 messages per month with website/file training and human takeover. It is a candidate when answering from your content is the job.
Keep in mind: Tier 1 excludes integrations and custom API actions. Detailed message counting and human staff access need confirmation.

ChatInCart
Tier 3 is the first ChatInCart lifetime plan with custom API actions. Choose it because the required action needs it, not just because it lists more agents.
Keep in mind: Verify the exact operation and permissions. Third-party service charges and client licence rights are separate questions.

Support Board
One Code starts at $69 once, with 3 human agents and 10,000 messages per month across the account. It supports a shared queue with human handoff and department routing.
Keep in mind: Every incoming and outgoing message counts. AI and channel-provider fees are separate; unrelated clients cannot share the licence.

For repeated questions about delivery, opening hours or a service, a content-trained website assistant may be enough. The source material must be correct and someone needs to handle the questions it cannot answer. ChatInCart’s free direct plan offers a small message allowance for evaluating that basic workflow before a purchase.
When several staff members handle multiple channels, the buying decision shifts to seat counts, routing and conversation history. Support Board documents human seats and department filtering. That makes it easier to size a team account, but it also requires setup and a separate AI budget.
Count the full exchange before comparing message allowances
A limit described as 10,000 messages is not automatically 10,000 resolved customers. Support Board counts both sides: a question and its reply use two. Longer threads, follow-ups and broadcasts add to the same monthly total.
ChatInCart’s public lifetime table does not define the counter precisely or its scope across agents. Keep that uncertainty visible rather than treating its headline allowance as directly equivalent. Use a sample of your own support conversations to estimate traffic before choosing a tier.
Check whether an agent is a person or a chatbot
Support Board’s agents are human staff; its Four Codes plan gives unlimited staff access but still one native trained chatbot. ChatInCart lists AI agents per workspace and does not establish the number of human staff who can access the inbox.
Neither number proves agency rights. Support Board explicitly limits each AppSumo account to one business/client. ChatInCart’s separate client workspaces and resale permissions remain unconfirmed. If the job is serving unrelated clients, those permissions should determine the purchase before price.
A connected app can still require a higher tier or another bill
ChatInCart Tier 1 excludes integrations, Tier 2 adds integrations and Tier 3 adds custom API actions. A buyer who needs an API call cannot solve that requirement by choosing the cheapest plan and relying on a logo on the homepage.
Support Board includes supported apps, APIs and webhooks, but outside providers still charge for their services. Its Cloud edition does not include WordPress-specific WooCommerce order access. Compare the exact operation—reading an order or sending a WhatsApp reply—rather than a general integration checkbox.
Keep the knowledge current and the handoff visible
Customer-support automation is only useful if it answers from the policy that applies today. Support Board’s AppSumo automatic refresh is limited to weekly execution in the latest founder answer. ChatInCart’s automatic refresh schedule is not established. Assign a person to review important changes rather than assuming a website edit updates the bot immediately.
For a later trial, use a real policy question, an unsupported question, a complaint and an account-specific request. Check whether the answer is correct, whether the bot admits a gap and whether a human receives the conversation.
Compare the yearly operating cost, not the discount badge
Start with the licence, then add AI usage, messaging providers, required external apps and any migration work. Support Board explicitly excludes AI and third-party fees. ChatInCart publishes recurring direct add-ons, but their eligibility for lifetime accounts is unconfirmed.
A subscription may still be preferable if it supplies a support commitment, client isolation or onboarding you need. If a shared email inbox already handles a modest queue reliably, buying no additional platform is a valid choice. The useful deal is the one that removes a specific support problem at a manageable total cost.
Feature comparison
Use the same checklist for each tool. Plan limits, paid extras and features that need confirmation are shown separately.
Features are grouped by documented coverage. “Not confirmed” means the evidence is incomplete, not that a feature is absent.
Check each product’s plan notes for tier limits and additional costs. Feature coverage is not a quality rating.
Buying questions
Which deal is better for a simple website chatbot?
ChatInCart Tier 1 is a candidate for answering from website or file content without integrations. Use Tier 2 for an included integration or Tier 3 for a custom API action, after confirming the exact workflow.
Which deal has clearly defined human staff seats?
Support Board lists three, six and ten human agents on its first three tiers, then unlimited human agents on Four Codes. ChatInCart’s AI agent count is not an equivalent staff allowance.
Do these lifetime deals eliminate all monthly costs?
No. Support Board excludes AI and third-party service fees. ChatInCart has direct recurring add-ons whose lifetime eligibility is not established; connected software may also require its own paid account.
