SimpleURL
$99 includes two branded domains and city/device reporting without WordPress.
Keep in mind: One user only; finite links and destination edits require a capacity plan.

LinkCentral runs inside WordPress, placing link records and traffic collection alongside the site you already maintain. That is useful when editors need to insert links directly into articles and the team already has a backup process. It also makes the site’s hosting and plugin health part of the redirect service.
SimpleURL separates link operations from WordPress. Its workspaces and branded domains suit campaigns across several publishing platforms, but domain ownership does not by itself make every path portable. Retain the destination map before distributing URLs in printed material.
Match the link operation to the job
Automatic keyword insertion and conditional redirects are different jobs. Auto Affiliate Links is relevant when affiliate destinations need to appear within existing WordPress copy; LinkCentral combines an explicit link inventory with keyword tools and conditional routing. Research each network integration and merchant permission rather than assuming an affiliate plugin approves the activity.
A hosted QR campaign instead needs reliable destination edits, readable printed output and a known ownership path. A static QR code may be enough for a permanent URL. Dynamic codes earn their complexity when changing the destination later is a real requirement.
Budget the first limit you will reach
SimpleURL separates short links, QR codes, domains, bio pages, users, workspaces and destination edits. Unlimited redirects describes traffic, not unlimited creation or editing. Its Solo analytics are narrower than the platform-wide marketing, while Pro still has only one user.
LinkCentral tiers mainly change the number of WordPress installations. Do not buy fifty site licences to unlock a feature already included in the three-site plan. Multisite counting and analytics-export format should be checked when they are essential to the agency workflow.
Measure outcomes without confusing clicks and sales
Give each important placement a separate link or a consistent campaign tag. Review bot filtering and attribution parameters, then compare the final destination with the intended merchant URL. A click report measures a redirect event; conversion tracking needs a correctly connected goal or network callback.
A branded short URL also does not automatically replace the destination’s social preview. If you cannot edit the merchant’s page metadata, a shortener may not change the image or description shown by a social network. LinkCentral’s founder explicitly identifies that limitation.
Plan an exit before a permanent print run
Use a domain controlled by the business, retain a record of every important short path and test an export. Confirm what happens when an account reaches its capacity and whether deleting a link frees the relevant quota. Unknown reset rules should stay unknown in your campaign budget.
For a small number of stable links, manual management may be the sensible free option. Buy a larger platform only when repeated editing, routing or reporting justifies ongoing dependence on it.
Feature comparison
Use the same checklist for each tool. Plan limits, paid extras and features that need confirmation are shown separately.
Features are grouped by documented coverage. “Not confirmed” means the evidence is incomplete, not that a feature is absent.
Check each product’s plan notes for tier limits and additional costs. Feature coverage is not a quality rating.
Buying questions
Which deal is better without WordPress?
SimpleURL is a hosted option; LinkCentral is specifically a WordPress plugin.
Are unlimited redirects the same as unlimited links?
No. Traffic, creation, destination edits and analytics retention can have different limits.
Will a short link prove an affiliate sale?
No. Clicks and conversions are different events, and correct merchant tracking remains necessary.
