Recommended tools and plans
Choose for the appointment you sell and the people delivering it. A solo business does not need Agency simply because it uses several calendars.
For solo consultants and coaches

TidyCal
Individual at $29 once is the practical starting point when you need several calendars, automatic meeting links and tailored booking emails for one host.
Keep in mind: The vendor branding stays. Stripe bookings can carry a platform fee; a custom domain requires the relevant Pro entitlement.

TidyCal
Agency at $79 once adds collective and round-robin booking. Choose it when clients need an available teammate or several hosts at the same meeting.
Keep in mind: New Agency licenses cover four people including the owner, ten calendar connections and a limited US/Canada SMS allowance.

kiwilaunch
kiwilaunch costs $39 and lists branding removal, a custom domain, service appointments and classes. It is relevant when customers choose a defined service and price.
Keep in mind: A 1% platform transaction fee remains, plus Stripe processing. Confirm staff login permissions; this is not a quote funnel or multi-day hotel booking system.

For a consultant taking one-to-one calls, list the calendars that contain busy time and the calendar that should receive bookings. TidyCal Individual at $29 gives one host ten calendar connections; those connections are not ten staff accounts.
For a small team, decide whether a booking needs any available colleague or several hosts together. Agency at $79 covers 4 people including the owner. Match that current entitlement to the people who must accept appointments; older reviews describing unlimited team members concern different purchases.
Make calendar conflicts a setup check
TidyCal checks calendars marked for reading when deciding which times are busy, and writes bookings to the selected destination calendar. A connected calendar with reading disabled will not protect its busy periods.
Before sharing the public link, create a private test event during an otherwise bookable period. Confirm that the slot disappears. Then make one test booking and check the calendar, timezone and meeting link. Repeat for the calendars you actually depend on; a successful login is not proof that the configuration is right.
Work-managed Google or Microsoft accounts may need administrator approval. Resolve access before replacing an existing booking link so clients do not meet an unfinished setup.
Price paid appointments using the actual fees
The dedicated payment guide specifies a 1% TidyCal fee on eligible Stripe payments for free and lifetime plans. PayPal payments have no TidyCal platform fee, although the payment processor still has its own charges. Pro removes the platform fee.
For illustration, 1% of $5,000 in eligible payments is $50. That is arithmetic, not a forecast of your revenue or the complete cost of processing payments. Lifetime customers can choose whether to absorb the platform fee or add it to the client’s charge. Make that choice deliberately and ensure the checkout amount matches the price you advertise.
If payment volume is substantial, compare the annual cost of the fee with a subscription that removes it. Include branding or domain requirements in the same decision rather than buying one plan and immediately discovering you need another.
Match reminders and branding to the client experience
Email reminders may be enough for scheduled consultation calls. If SMS is essential, check both geography and allowance: new Agency plans include ten monthly SMS segments for US and Canadian numbers. This is not unrestricted worldwide texting.
For new purchases, lifetime plans retain reduced TidyCal branding and do not include a custom domain. If presenting the booking page entirely under your own identity is a firm requirement, evaluate Pro before committing to a lifetime purchase.
Use confirmation messages to answer the practical questions clients otherwise send by email: where to join, how to prepare and what to do if plans change. Clear instructions improve the handoff even without additional automation.
When the free plan is enough, and when to switch
Keep a free booking page when its calendars and basic booking flow already meet your needs. Individual becomes relevant for several calendar connections, automatic meeting links and tailored emails. Agency becomes relevant for team routing or shared-host meetings, rather than simply a larger appointment count.
Before replacing a working link, make one private booking for each appointment type. Check the timezone, destination calendar, meeting link, paid amount and cancellation message. Update your website, email signature and social links only after that journey works; keep already-booked appointments on a clear reminder process.
Distinguish a service catalogue from a team meeting page
kiwilaunch centres on defined services and classes presented through a catalogue or widget. TidyCal centres on booking types, calendar connections and, on Agency, team routing. Decide whether the customer is buying a service variation or simply selecting a meeting time before comparing prices.
For paid bookings, include platform and processor fees. For a branded site, note that current TidyCal lifetime tiers retain reduced branding and reserve custom domains for Pro, while kiwilaunch lists those controls in its offer. Neither branding promise establishes an agency resale right or unlimited independent client accounts.
Feature comparison
Use the same checklist for each tool. Plan limits, paid extras and features that need confirmation are shown separately.
Features are grouped by documented coverage. “Not confirmed” means the evidence is incomplete, not that a feature is absent.
Check each product’s plan notes for tier limits and additional costs. Feature coverage is not a quality rating.
Buying questions
Which TidyCal lifetime plan should a solo business choose?
Individual is our starting recommendation for one host who needs several calendar connections and more control over booking messages. Agency is justified when you need team routing or shared-host meetings.
Is Agency the same as unlimited team scheduling?
No. The current new-purchase allowance is four team members including the owner. Older licenses can have different terms, so compare the license you will actually receive.
Does a lifetime plan remove every ongoing cost?
No. Payment processing remains separate, eligible Stripe payments can incur the TidyCal platform fee, and Pro-only requirements can introduce a subscription.
