Seline lifetime deal

The Seline lifetime deal can replace a recurring analytics bill, but its monthly allowance covers more than page loads. Custom events use the same pool. The buying decision is how much you will track across all linked websites and whether its funnels and revenue reports answer your questions.

Who is Seline for?

Start with the lowest tier that covers your combined event forecast, leaving room for campaigns and repeat actions. Seline is a useful candidate for SaaS signup and payment analysis; it is a poor match if you require session replay or assume the lifetime offer includes the direct plan’s unlimited retention.

Suitable for

Site owners who can add a script, define events and connect payments where needed.

Consider another option if

Buyers requiring replay recordings, guaranteed unlimited retention or confirmed large client-seat allocations.

What comes with the lifetime deal?

Counting unit

Pageviews and custom events consume the same monthly pool across linked sites.

Tier differences

The five tiers increase the event allowance; the listed feature set is shared.

Retention

The AppSumo offer specifies 36 months. The direct subscription’s forever wording is not substituted into the deal.

Activation and changes

Activate within 60 days; upgrade while the deal is live, downgrade within 60 days. AppSumo lists a 60-day refund period.

Future features

All tiers map to Pro updates. Future AI models can require an add-on or discounted separate access.

Costs and limits to account for

  • Three-year deal retention differs from direct Pro.
  • Future AI models may cost extra.
  • Automatic form tracking can send field values; review what your forms collect.

Choose a tier using pageviews plus interactions

Suppose a site receives 8,000 visits each month, with an average of two tracked page loads and one custom action per visit. That is 16,000 pageviews plus 8,000 custom events: 24,000 counted events. Tier 1 has 25,000 for $59, so the example fits narrowly. A second custom action per visit raises the estimate to 32,000; choose License Tier 2 · $129 once. for that workload.

Treat the number of actions as an assumption you will measure, not a fixed conversion rate. A button can be clicked repeatedly, background actions may fire more often than expected, and a returning person can create many pageviews. Unused monthly allowance is not an accumulating lifetime bank.

Illustrative monthly event budget for one site

Custom actions8,000 visits × 18,000
TotalBefore a campaign spike24,000

Share the allowance across websites deliberately

Unlimited websites means you can connect many sites; it does not create a separate event pool for each. A portfolio of five sites generating 20,000 counted events each needs 100,000 events in total. The smallest saved plan covering that estimate is License Tier 2 · $129 once..

A shared allowance suits sites under one owner, but client separation is another decision. Founder replies describe project-level invitations and password-protected reports. The exact lifetime seat count and consequences of moving or deleting the licensed project were still unanswered in the October 30 agency question. An agency should resolve those points before committing a large client portfolio.

A revenue chart is not yet reliable campaign attribution

Stripe matching requires either the customer email supplied through identification or a visitor ID passed into Checkout metadata. Plan who will add that connection before buying for revenue attribution. A designer who can add a header script may still need a developer to modify checkout-session creation.

For non-Stripe purchases, the revenue event needs an amount, currency and revenue flag. Use a consistent event definition and confirm it fires for a successful purchase, not just a payment-button click. This distinction matters when the campaign sends many interested visitors but few completed payments.

Separate lifetime limits from direct Pro promises

AppSumo promises 36 months of retention, while direct Pro describes forever retention. Base a lifetime purchase on the offer-specific period. If you need year-four detailed journeys, this is a reason to consider another arrangement instead of assuming a subscription promise carries across.

The direct Pro page describes an upgrade request after two consecutive over-limit months or a spike above five times the limit. An equivalent guaranteed grace period and a top-up price are not specified for the lifetime licence. Do not size a deal around that tolerance. A higher tier buys allowance you can plan around; future AI-model access is separately qualified in the deal terms.

The vendor also offers optional paid setup. It is separate from the licence, and do-it-yourself installation is available. Budget for implementation time, any developer help, and your payment platform’s normal fees; owning analytics does not remove those costs.

Check what your installation sends

Seline’s documented default is cookieless, but identified profiles are a distinct configuration. The profiles guide describes an optional first-party cookie for more persistent identification. Do not describe every installation as anonymous simply because the default traffic script uses no cookies.

Automatic form-event tracking can include form field values. Review that behavior before adding it to an enquiry, support or account form. Prefer only the event properties your analysis needs. Also exclude staff visits so development and support activity do not inflate a small site’s apparent conversions.

For WordPress, the founder recommended manual script installation in the September 29 answer rather than relying on the plugin’s then-stale compatibility status. For cross-subdomain journeys, install the documented project configuration on every participating hostname. This is different from assuming anonymous visitors can always be stitched across unrelated domains.

When to choose Visitor Tracking or a free report instead

Visitor Tracking is another lifetime option for a portfolio owner who wants a live visitor stream and site-level client access. Its plans use advertised pageview quotas and explicit extra-user counts, while Seline clearly combines custom events with pageviews. Do not compare the two quota numbers without first defining the same workload.

Seline has clearer documentation for Stripe matching, custom revenue events and identified profiles. Visitor Tracking deserves consideration when client permissions and monitoring many sites are the main job, although its retention and API questions remain important. Neither product’s published feature list proves measurement accuracy.

If the question is simply which pages get traffic and how they perform, Cloudflare Web Analytics is available on its free plan. Paying for an additional tool is easier to justify once you need the specific funnels, journey investigations or payment links described here. If replay recordings are essential, skip Seline: the founder says they are not offered or planned.

USE CASES

What problems does Seline solve?

01

Find the step between signup and payment that loses users

A campaign brings visits, but the traffic chart does not explain whether people fail to sign up, complete onboarding or pay.

How to use it

  1. Install the script on the relevant site and application, with access to change both.
  2. Define separate signup and activation events; identify authenticated users with a stable user ID.
  3. Build a funnel matching those actions and the payment step.
  4. Compare one acquisition campaign at a time, then inspect the affected journeys before changing the page.

What this helps you do: The funnel identifies where to investigate, while journeys supply context for the missing step.

Limitations: A drop-off is an observation, not proof of its cause. Misfiring events and an untracked external checkout can also create gaps.

02

Attribute Stripe payments to acquisition sources

A payment total is useful, but it does not tell you which campaign acquired the customer.

How to use it

  1. Connect Stripe with an appropriately restricted read-only key.
  2. For signed-in customers, send an email that matches the Stripe customer; for guest checkout, pass the Seline visitor ID in Checkout metadata.
  3. Check that a known payment appears against the intended visitor and source.
  4. Use a consistent reporting currency when comparing campaigns.

What this helps you do: Matched payments can be investigated alongside traffic sources and journeys.

Limitations: Connecting Stripe alone creates revenue reporting but does not guarantee attribution. Unmatched customers still lack the visitor link.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Seline lifetime deal FAQs

Does each Seline pageview have a separate event allowance?

No. The founder says pageviews and custom events count toward the same monthly limit. Add both across all linked websites.

Does buying a higher tier unlock session replay?

No replay entitlement was established. The founder explicitly said session replay was not offered or planned; the higher tiers increase allowance.

Does the lifetime deal keep data forever?

The AppSumo listing specifies 36 months. The direct Pro subscription’s forever claim should not be used to override the lifetime terms.

Can Seline show which channel produced a Stripe payment?

Yes, when the payment can be matched to a visitor through customer email or Checkout metadata. Connecting Stripe without that match is not enough to attribute every charge.

Are client seats and API requests unlimited?

Project-level invitations and a public API are included, but a numeric lifetime seat cap and the usage impact of API/MCP requests are not specified. The public agency question remained unanswered.

Does Seline replace Search Console?

No. A founder reply says Search Console data can be displayed inside Seline, but it is not joined to tracked visitor data. Keep the distinction between search impressions and on-site activity.
