Choose seats first, then the monthly pool

Tier 1 costs $79 for one user and 800 monthly credits. Tier 2 costs $179 for 5 users and 2,000 credits; Tier 3 costs $299 for 15 users and 4,000 credits. Those balances are workspace totals.

Tiers 4, 5 and 6 remove the user cap and provide 8,000, 11,000 and 14,000 monthly credits respectively. Buying more seats does not promise enough credits for every employee to run long research jobs every day.

The current matrix includes agents, BYOK, MCP, role-based controls and usage reporting in every column. Older summaries that gate basic agents to a higher tier do not match this table. Buy the higher tiers for a real seat or usage need, rather than a feature already included below.

A credit is not a fixed number of messages

Model choice, input length, output length and the amount of retrieved context affect usage. Search, deep research, document handling, memory, agent work and connected actions can add platform consumption. A short answer based on a large reference library may cost more than the visible answer suggests.

In buyer feedback, one reviewer described unexpectedly fast credit depletion after adding large documents. Another reported reasonable consumption but found the workspace complex. These are attributed experiences with different workloads, not a reliable conversion rate for your tasks.

Start budgeting from a complete operation: documents ingested, context searched, models called and output produced. Avoid comparing a WorkLLM credit directly with a Formwise credit or a BetterClaw runtime credit. Their meters pay for different work.

BYOK moves part of the bill rather than removing it

The founder distinguishes BYOK model responses from platform operations. When you explicitly select a BYOK model, the external provider bills its model usage. Memory, search and embedding can still consume WorkLLM credits. Supplying a key is therefore not a route to unlimited free use of the entire workspace.

The Recommended automatic model choice uses the platform’s models and balance, according to an October founder answer. Select the BYOK category deliberately if you intend to use your own provider connection. A normal consumer chat subscription is not automatically an API balance.

Current AppSumo terms say future models are available to all tiers without an extra model-access restriction. That does not cancel usage metering or guarantee that an expensive new model costs the same credits as a cheaper one.

The official credit guide quotes extra credits at $0.01 each, with a $10 minimum purchase for 1,000. It also says a workspace stops using the platform when its available balance is exhausted. Confirm that the same purchase options apply to your redeemed lifetime account rather than assuming automatic free overages.

The guide explicitly limits its 60-day rollover explanation to subscription plans. It therefore does not establish an AppSumo lifetime rollover entitlement. Ask for the lifetime-specific rule before counting unused months as future capacity. An admin can set individual member credit limits to keep one person from spending the entire pool.

Include Plus access and unfinished workflow needs

The current AppSumo purchase button says Buy with Plus. If you are not already a member, include the membership required at checkout in your total purchase decision. The licence price alone may not be the complete initial spend.

An October founder reply says Agent 2.0 is live with multi-agent workflows, schedules and approval steps. The same discussion distinguishes those functions from unsupported browser automation and full application deployment. Do not sell a desktop-automation service merely because an agent feature is listed.

AppSumo feedback also raises export and onboarding concerns. An educator reported useful document work but poor Arabic PDF export, which the founder acknowledged. If a particular export format is the final deliverable, check it within the refund window.

Match the alternative to the work you need

AI Toolbox suits organization of conversations in existing AI websites and does not supply a shared model-credit pool. Formwise suits publishing your own guided AI assets to clients, with different portal economics. WorkLLM is more relevant when employees need shared knowledge and models in one workspace.

Robomotion is the comparison to investigate for actions inside desktop applications. BetterClaw emphasizes hosted agents and separate runtime/model billing. Choose between them by required actions, execution location and approval controls rather than the size of a model directory.
