The TransferChain Pass lifetime deal starts at $49 for five team members. Its browser-focused shared vault is worth evaluating through saving, autofill, permissions and recovery before moving a complete password collection.
TransferChain Pass is a potential fit for a small team working mainly in Chromium browsers and willing to test recovery and sharing carefully. Plan 1 covers five people; Plan 2 adds more seats and advanced administrative controls. Skip a full migration until mobile availability, export and the required browser behavior are demonstrated for your workflow.
Suitable for
Small teams using Chromium browsers; Permissioned shared-login workflows; Buyers who can test recovery before migration
Consider another option if
Native mobile availability is unclear.; Advanced logs and policies require Plan 2.; Recovery and export need evaluation before a full vault migration.

Seats and administrative controls
The three plans cover five, twenty-five and fifty team members, with unlimited encrypted passwords. Plan 1 includes the browser extension, sharing, synchronization, password generation, granular permissions and the administrative console. Plans 2 and 3 add advanced activity logs and security policies such as IP restrictions and password-creation controls.
For a three-person team, Plan 1 can be enough if basic permissioned sharing is the requirement. If you need the higher administrative policies or advanced logs, Plan 2 is the relevant minimum even with fewer than five users. Plan 3 is primarily a seat-capacity decision for a larger team.
The founder explicitly says a paid TransferChain Drive subscription is not required to activate Pass. The products use related technology but have different purposes and licences. Do not include file-storage capacity or Drive sharing rights in the password-manager purchase unless separately documented.
Browser access is not the same as native mobile autofill
The dedicated setup guide documents a Chrome extension usable in Chromium browsers including Edge, Brave and Opera. It describes Safari and Firefox extension compatibility as upcoming. A separate web-app guide says the vault can be opened in major browsers; that does not prove an autofill extension exists for each of them.
Questions and buyer reports continue to ask about iOS and Android apps. A founder reply says development was completed and app-store submission was underway, but that is not evidence of a released, functioning mobile password manager. Require the actual store listing and supported autofill workflow before migrating a team that depends on phones.
Test the login pages your staff use, including a multi-step username/password form and any separate authentication step. Browser-native password-save prompts may still need configuration; one buyer reported interference from those prompts. Do not assume installation alone disables every competing password manager.
Permissioned sharing still needs an offboarding process
Begin with a noncritical test credential and two test roles. Share it with the intended permission, confirm the recipient can perform the allowed action, then revoke access and verify what remains usable. This establishes a repeatable process before moving sensitive client accounts.
A password manager does not override the destination service’s account-sharing rules. Where a service offers individual team logins, those may provide clearer attribution and offboarding than one shared password. If a shared credential has already been exposed to a person or device, revoking the vault entry is not a substitute for rotating that credential when appropriate.
Advanced logs on Plans 2 and 3 can support administration, but do not infer every event, retention period or export format from the word advanced. Ask for the specific audit trail your business needs and review it during evaluation. The current evidence does not establish a full enterprise identity-management replacement.
Understand recovery before importing a vault
TransferChain describes client-side encryption, fragmented distributed storage and blockchain authorization. Its security page says the recovery phrase and keys are generated locally and encrypted with the account password. These architecture descriptions are the vendor’s claims.
The recovery phrase is operationally important. Establish how it is stored securely, who is authorized to use it and how an employee regains access after a device change. A system designed to prevent provider access can also make recovery more demanding; do not postpone understanding that trade-off until a staff member is locked out.
Before importing an entire existing vault, verify export format, recovery on a second device and the handling of shared entries. Keep a protected, usable copy of the previous vault until the migration is proven. Detailed export scope is not specified. The provider’s general audit statement does not establish independent certification of every Pass feature.
FEATURE COMPARISON
Features, limits and paid extras
“Included” and “unlimited” can mean different things. This checklist separates full access, usage limits, add-ons and features that are not confirmed.
Feature coverage1 / 8
1 fully included · 3 limited · 0 add-on · 4 not included · 0 not confirmed. Coverage is not a quality score.
Buyer reviews include praise alongside reports of repeated recovery prompts, missing mobile access and browser-save interference.

Choose coverage before a one-time price
A browser-focused team may find the lifetime seat bundle attractive, particularly when it needs a shared vault without a recurring per-user bill. A team that works heavily on iOS, Android, Safari or Firefox needs demonstrated support for those daily tasks first. A cheaper licence does not compensate for staff being unable to access a required login.
A free individual password manager may be enough for one person, while established team services such as Bitwarden or 1Password are relevant comparisons for broader device coverage and administration. Compare actual team-sharing and recovery requirements rather than counting unlimited saved passwords, which is rarely the hardest limit.
Buyer feedback includes positive usability comments and reports of repeated access recovery, mobile gaps and confusing behavior. The offer requires activation within sixty days, includes the stated sixty-day refund window and does not stack. Use that evaluation period for the complete save, autofill, share, revoke and recover journey.
