Why the submission allowance is only part of the budget

Count the work triggered by a completed form. The founder confirms that uploading to Google Drive and sending a webhook use two separate integration-module actions. Requests to FormDesigner’s REST API are not included in that counter; that does not establish unrestricted API throughput.

The plan lists 1,000 submissions per month, while the linked Platinum+ tariff lists separate 1,000 email notifications per month and 1,000 integration actions per month allowances. Sending an acknowledgement and an internal notification can use more notification capacity than a single email per entry. The exact handling of multiple recipients and failed retries needs clarification for the workflow you will deploy.

Google Drive does not remove the storage limit

Uploaded files remain in FormDesigner storage even when the Google Drive integration copies them elsewhere. The founder says old originals can be deleted manually; automatic deletion was not available in the September answer. Plan a retention process, not just an export connection.

The account includes 500 MB. At an illustrative 5 MB retained per application, 100 applications would occupy about 500 MB before other assets. That is a cumulative storage example, not a monthly allowance or a measured file-size average. The linked tariff lists 50 MB for an individual upload.

AI generation is useful, but the lifetime reset is unclear

The current AppSumo plan lists 50 AI credits and includes REST API access and MCP. It does not state whether that AI allowance replenishes for this lifetime offer, how many credits each generation consumes, or how unused credits expire. Do not calculate a monthly AI workload from the number alone.

Manual building, calculation fields and logical rules are the firmer reason to buy. If automated form creation is essential, obtain the lifetime account’s credit rules and API rate limits before making it part of a client service.

Extra capacity can cost more after the purchase

The founder announced paid capacity increases in August 2025 and later confirmed separate submission, email and integration limits. That is newer than older answers saying buyers had to switch away from the lifetime tariff. However, the public answers do not give a current price schedule or the duration of each added allowance. Do not budget an assumed low overage rate.

Payment processors, SMS services and connected automation tools can charge separately. A form capable of taking a payment does not include those transaction or messaging costs. Domain registration and any outside email-delivery service also remain separate from the form licence.

The linked Platinum+ page is useful for the deal’s limits, but its subscription price is not a second AppSumo tier. Do not confuse the much higher submission and storage quotas on the vendor’s current Platinum subscription with this lifetime offer.

When Formly is the better fit

Formly is worth comparing when separate staff seats, several client workspaces or larger retained uploads matter more than custom scripting. Its 2-Code plan includes three users and partial-response capture; FormDesigner’s public deal does not establish an equivalent staff-seat count or captured partial-lead entitlement.

For a simple survey that only needs answers in a spreadsheet, first consider a free form builder. The FormDesigner free tariff has limited fields and submissions but can establish whether basic collection is sufficient. Paid logic, styling and integration capacity should solve a specific gap, rather than become another unused licence.
