Which tool should you choose?

AnyToSpeech

If you already own the deal, use the character and transcription limits below to plan production. New buyers should compare available alternatives rather than treat the historical prices as an active offer. AnyToSpeech remains useful to assess for scripts, documents and controlled podcast dialogue; its broad feature list does not establish unlimited music, video or translated dubbing.

Suitable for

Existing owners converting approved text into audio.

Consider another option if

Buyers who need a currently available AppSumo deal or a guaranteed high-volume dubbing allowance.

Voicina

Consider Voicina for short videos needing transcription, styled captions and translated voices in one place. Choose the smallest tier that covers your languages and revisions, not a tier based on transcription minutes alone. Hold off if pre-dub translation approval, detailed voice direction or a confirmed client/team licence is essential: those requirements are not fully established.

A creator localizing short clips who can review output, manage credits and download finished files.

Consider another option if

A team requiring detailed pre-dub script approval, unrestricted client seats or an established long-term media archive.

Credits, limits and extra costs

AnyToSpeech

  • The AppSumo lifetime offer is sold out; listed tier prices are historical.
  • A character allowance is not a promise of a fixed number of finished minutes.
  • Podcast revisions, media translation and extra capacity need a workflow-specific usage check.

Podcasts and music need more than a character headline

A generated podcast may involve drafting a script, voicing it and producing revisions. The current AppSumo table does not publish a complete per-operation rate card for podcasts, Music Studio, talking photos and speech-to-speech conversion. Avoid turning the headline character allowance into an unsupported count of songs or finished episodes.

One AppSumo reviewer said failed generations were not charged. That is useful feedback, but it is not an independently verified billing rule. Check the cost shown for a job and keep a revision allowance before building a regular client package around it.

Commercial use does not supply source rights

Commercial output use is listed in every historical AppSumo tier. You still need permission for the document, music, images and cloned voice you supply. The free vendor plan excludes commercial use, so a free preview is not a substitute for a paid commercial entitlement.

Extra-capacity prices for the AppSumo account, transcription rollover and exact charges for the ancillary studios remain unconfirmed. The current vendor subscriptions are a separate purchase route; their short direct refund terms do not replace the original AppSumo refund window.

Voicina

  • A full standard dub uses 75 credits/minute/language; lip sync adds 150.
  • No pre-dub translation review or full-language reset in the October 28 founder answer.
  • Media expires after 60 days; commercial/client rights and team seats need clarification.

A transcription minute is not a dubbing minute

The monthly pool is shared across tasks. Original-language transcription or subtitles cost 2 credits per minute. Standard translation adds 13 per minute per language, and standard voice generation adds 60. A full translated dub therefore uses 75 credits per minute for one language.

Fast translation costs 3 and Light voice generation 35, making a full Fast/Light dub 40 credits per minute. Those are different modes, not proof of equivalent translation or voice quality. Usage is measured per second and rounded up to the nearest credit, so splitting work into short jobs can affect rounding.

Live captions / translation / voice5 /5 /52 per session minuteCombined live-service billing needs confirmation; do not assume all three are included in the cheapest rate.

Review limitations before promising a client deadline

The October 28 founder response is more specific than the broad marketing copy. It says full-language reset, choosing among several tone variants and deleting individual phrases are not available yet. It also says translation currently flows directly into dubbing, so you cannot approve the translated script first. These are roadmap requests, not included workflow controls.

Individual phrases can be regenerated, but the evidence does not establish a free-retake allowance or automatic credit refunds for every unwanted output. Some phrases may be sped up to fit the original timing; the founder acknowledged this despite the general FAQ describing natural pacing. Allow time and credits to review difficult names, long translated sentences and delivery.

How the tools fit common workflows

AnyToSpeech

Make an audio edition of a long document

Readers want an audio version of a guide or course, but recording the entire document is impractical.

  1. Confirm you can use the document and remove page numbers, repeated headers and formatting noise.
  2. Break the text into logical chapters and review pronunciation of names and technical terms.
  3. Generate the approved chapters, download the MP3s and retain the final script alongside each file.

Expected outcome: A chaptered audio edition can be produced without recording every paragraph yourself.

Limitation: A buyer reported difficulty with a 600,000-character manuscript and used smaller chapters. That is one account, not a measured upload limit.

Create a scripted two-person explanation

A dialogue format is useful, but an automatically invented conversation may omit or distort important details.

  1. Prepare and fact-check the dialogue before generating audio.
  2. Use Podcast Studio’s script option and assign the two speakers.
  3. Review the output and budget a second generation when a phrase or delivery needs changing.

Expected outcome: A source-led conversation can support course recaps or explanatory audio.

Limitation: Generated dialogue still needs editorial review.

Voicina

Publish a short training video in another language

A useful lesson already exists, but its audience cannot follow the original language.

  1. Confirm permission for the source video and any speaker voice you plan to clone.
  2. Upload the file, select the target language and choose the intended voice and quality mode.
  3. Review the translated speech, captions and timing, then download the finished MP4 and subtitles.

Expected outcome: One workspace can produce localized video and subtitle files for a new audience.

Limitation: The October 28 founder answer says dubbing begins immediately after translation, with no pre-dub review step yet. Budget for corrections after generation.

Add readable subtitles without paying for a full dub

Viewers need captions or the team needs a transcript, but an additional voice track is unnecessary.

  1. Upload clear audio or video and generate the transcript with speaker labels.
  2. Correct names and terminology, then adjust caption style and timing.
  3. Export SRT/VTT/SBV for an editor, or burn styled captions into the video.

Expected outcome: Captions can support sound-off viewing without consuming the much higher translated-voice budget.

Limitation: The public FAQ notes transcription in languages without spaces, including Chinese, Japanese and Thai, is still being improved. A language count is not an accuracy guarantee.

What buyers report

Buyer experiences can vary with the plan, product version and workflow.

AnyToSpeech

Written material and podcast control

Across the eight accessible AppSumo reviews, buyers described using documents, multi-speaker scripts and Podcast Studio. One writer wanted broader Arabic voice choices. These accounts suggest relevant workflows but do not prove voice quality for your language.

Large inputs and editing remain worth checking

A reviewer described splitting a 600,000-character manuscript after the full upload struggled. Another wanted finer control over cloned voices and professional editing. The official pricing page now lists a timeline editor, but its ability to address those requests remains unclear.

Voicina

Multilingual output and responsive development

The five newest visible reviews include reports of Mongolian, Japanese, Russian, Arabic and Spanish workflows. One buyer described fixes to player controls and credit display after feedback. These are individual accounts; three of the five were visibly marked incentivized, so they should not be treated as independent testing.

Revisions and credit use need planning

The October 28 question asks for better control over regeneration, timing and phrase removal. The founder confirmed several controls are missing. A separate buyer welcomed new lip sync while noting quality trade-offs. Those details matter more to a deadline than the overall star average.

AnyToSpeech vs Voicina: common questions

Which product costs less for my workload?

Choose the smallest tier that covers your actual usage in each product, then add any required membership, credits or outside subscriptions. A cheaper starting price is not a saving if it leaves essential work uncovered.

Can I buy every lifetime plan shown here?

Only offers marked available have a current recorded purchase option. Sold-out plans are historical context. The merchant confirms the final price, availability and terms when you buy.

AnyToSpeech: Is the AnyToSpeech AppSumo deal available?

No. The current listing and review page both show it as sold out. Historical prices are retained for existing owners and comparison, not as an active offer.

AnyToSpeech: Do unused characters roll over?

Yes, the AppSumo FAQ explicitly confirms character rollover. It does not publish a cap or establish the same rule for transcription minutes.

Voicina: How do I calculate dubbing minutes for a tier?

Divide the current monthly credit allowance by 75 for a standard translated dub in one language, or by 225 when adding lip sync. Reserve credits for revisions and other tasks; actual capacity depends on the jobs and revisions.

Voicina: Is lip sync included in the 75-credit rate?

No. It adds 150 credits per minute per language to the dubbing operation.
